PATRIAM: EDGE OF THE WORLD
A roleplay and politics server in The World of Patriam,
Patriam is the world of Patriam: The Saga of Roljar, the action RPG from Patriam Studios in New Zealand. Edge of the World opens one of its lands to players. On the continent of Khyros lies Olzhar, a country of pine forest, fjords and old growth where no realm has yet been founded. Everything built here is built by players, and the history they make may one day become part of the canon of the World of Patriam.

REALMS AND POWER
Found a realm, claim its land, and grant fiefs to those who serve you. Ranks comes from a feudal system of who is sworn to whom, from Lord to Emperor. Each realm chooses one of four forms of government, and that choice decides who inherits the throne. A muster can raise a rebellion against a failing realm, and a ruler who stays away too long can fall to a coup.

FAITH AND HERALDRY
Found a faith with its own doctrine, holy sites and rites, and keep it public or hidden. Design arms for a realm, a fief or a faith in your browser, and fly them over your land.

COIN, TRADE, AND SEASONS
Coin is backed by gold and exchanged at banks you have to walk to. Market stalls keep selling while you are offline, and the landholder taxes them. Four seasons turn over the land. Crops need open sky and the right country as well as the right season, so stored food and trade matter when winter comes.

A UNIQUE GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE
Falling stars crater the ground and carry the only netherite in Khyros. Couriers are tamed parrots bearing written notes, and other players can intercept them. The still brews three grades of drink, and a bold brewer can push it past the recipe. There is no fast travel, so roads, taverns and waystations are worth building. The border of the world opens outward as more players arrive.
The world is Overworld only. Enchantments stop at level I, and there are no shulker boxes or ender chests, so you cannot carry a base with you. The store sells cosmetics, never survival power.

YOUR CHARACTER
Every player keeps a public character card, with local actions and dice for roleplay. An ordinary death does not end your character. You decide if and when your character dies for good.
