Civilization servers (often just called Civ servers) are all about building nations from the ground up. Players start with nothing and work together to create towns, establish governments, write laws and grow their settlements into powerful civilizations.

Politics is at the heart of gameplay on civilization servers. Nations trade with each other, form alliances, or even go to war - with server admins stepping in as little as possible. Some servers use plugins like Towny to manage land, while others follow the classic Civ style where players protect their builds by reinforcing blocks and uphold laws by imprisoning other players.

Civ worlds usually run for years rather than having regular resets, with player-written wikis documenting the rise and fall of empires. These servers are perfect if you enjoy diplomacy, community and long-term strategy.
