# BotSteve - Your Own Minecraft World With an AI Teammate
Your own private Minecraft world, with an AI teammate who fetches, mines, cooks and fights alongside you. Java and Bedrock crossplay. Early access is FREE.
## What is BotSteve?
BotSteve is different from a traditional Minecraft server. Instead of joining a crowded public world, you get your own private survival world for you and your friends, with a real AI teammate living in it.
Your AI companion has his own name, inventory and place in your world. He understands everyday language, follows instructions, makes decisions and helps you survive.
Imagine it's getting dark, you're running low on food and you're still building your base. You type "I'm hungry" and your teammate goes off to find food, cooks it and brings it back to you.
## Meet Your AI Teammate
Gather Resources: Ask him to collect wood, cobblestone, iron or diamonds. He knows where to find them and gets to work.
Fight and Protect: He fights hostile mobs alongside you, helps defend your base and retreats when he's outmatched.
Find and Cook Food: He can hunt, cook meals and bring food when you're hungry.
Think Independently: When you're busy building or exploring, he finds useful jobs to do, like gathering resources, restocking food or lighting your base.
Chat Naturally: Talk to him in Minecraft or from your phone. No special commands required. Just tell him what you need.
## Your World, Your Rules
Private World: Only you and the friends you invite can join.
Java and Bedrock Crossplay: Play together across both Minecraft editions.
No Mods: No special launcher, modpack or downloads required.
Bring Your Friends: Invite friends by email. Each gets their own AI teammate.
Persistent World: Your world automatically sleeps when nobody is online and wakes up when you return, exactly as you left it.
## Just Tell Him What You Need
"Get me 20 oak logs"
"Mine some iron"
"I'm hungry"
"Cook dinner"
"Follow me"
"Stick with me"
"Help"
Your AI teammate understands plain English and works out how to get things done.

## Why BotSteve?
Most public Minecraft servers are somebody else's world, shared with hundreds of strangers.
BotSteve is YOUR world. Build what you want, explore at your own pace and invite only the people you choose.
And when your friends aren't online, your AI teammate is still there to help you mine, gather, cook and fight.
He's there at 2am when nobody else is.
