OreWars is a PvP survival server for Java Edition 26.3 where the good ore is a long way from your base.

The map has three rings around spawn. You start in the safe ring, where PvP is off and you can claim land for a base. Nobody can break into your base while its upkeep is paid, and you pay the upkeep by putting ore into the base. The ground in the safe ring only has coal and copper, so for iron and gold you have to go out to the risk ring. When you carry valuables there you are flagged for PvP, which means other players can attack you, and if you die while you are flagged you drop everything. Diamonds are only found in the lawless ring at the edge of the map, where PvP is always on.

There are no teleports and no ender chests, so the only way to get your ore home is to walk it back through those rings.

The outer rings also have ruins that you can capture, and a ruin gives you a steady income for as long as you hold it. World bosses appear without warning, and a boss can drop a weapon that you cannot get any other way.

You do not need to install anything to join, and nothing that is sold on the server helps you in a fight. The server opened on 11 October 2026, so it is still new.
